Evening IOP* Program

Mental Health that fits your busy schedule

Evening IOP* Program

Intensive outpatient treatment is for everyone who needs help with their mental health condition. Yes, it’s commonly used for those overcoming substance abuse, but that is just the start of the evening intensive outpatient programs* we offer. You can get treatment for your depression, burnout, grief, PTSD, anxiety, and more.

We also understand how hard it can be to attend sessions with a busy schedule. That’s why we offer evening intensive outpatient treatment for those who work, go to school, or have other daytime commitments they can’t get away from.

Our evening IOP* program is designed around you. We are available during evening hours or throughout the day, making us fully flexible.

Evening IOP* for Professionals in Boston

What is an Evening IOP* Program?

An evening intensive outpatient program (IOP*) is a treatment center that specifically offers out of office hours. Evening IOPs are crucial if you have other commitments during the day that you cannot or don’t want to get out of.

With evening IOPs, you can get the treatment and support you need on your schedule. This way, you can get help while retaining your full-time job or even work in sessions around classes or your internship. There are significant benefits to getting intensive outpatient treatment for a range of conditions, from depression to anxiety to PTSD.

You might only need outpatient treatment from our center for a few weeks, or you might benefit from a longer-term program. Thanks to our personalized treatment program approach, we can help you regardless of what you need.

Benefits of Enrolling in an Evening Intensive Outpatient Program*

Intensive outpatient programs offer many benefits for those suffering from mental illness or challenging conditions.

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP*) is ideal for developing coping skills that can help you live a better life overall. If you are suffering from an addiction, for example, our addiction treatment program can help you build the skills necessary to keep saying no, while also giving you a supportive environment you can turn to when you need support.

The same applies to treatment for other mental illness conditions. We offer you a place to turn to when your symptoms surge, while also working with you to develop the skills you need to lead as independent and confident a life as possible.

One of the biggest benefits of attending an evening intensive outpatient program is that it allows you to work around your daytime commitments. You might have work during the day, for example, or might even have classes to attend. If you have struggled to make appointments in the past because they had daytime office hours, then an evening intensive outpatient program might be just what you need to finally give your mental health the care it deserves.

With us, you’ll get your very own personalized treatment plan. At our treatment facility, you’ll have access to psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors alike. Our goal is to help you mentally, emotionally, and behaviorally.

We offer this personalized care from day one. We’ll put together a treatment program designed with your mental health challenges in mind and then adjust as we go and learn what works for you and what does not. Rest assured, your preferences and goals are considered and prioritized at every step. You are in charge of your recovery process.

You will have access to a variety of one-on-one sessions. Our goal with these is to uncover the underlying causes of your mental health issues and then work on helping you break away from painful and unhealthy thought patterns. You will have access to treatment options like cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and more to help you manage symptoms and build healthy life habits.

We believe in the power of peer support, which is why you’ll also have access to group therapy sessions at Back Bay Mental Health. Building a strong support system is essential for everyone’s recovery journey. Not only can you connect with others who understand what you are going through, but you can also share helpful tips that can help you lead a more fulfilling life. We have nearly all of our patients attend group therapy sessions for the shared connection benefits alone.

We can also treat multiple family members at the same time. This can help patients suffering from childhood trauma, all the way to those battling addiction who need the full backing and support of their loved ones.

Our treatment center has in-house psychiatrists. Psychiatrists, unlike psychologists, can also help treat the biological side of your condition. This means that we can offer medication management to our patients. Medication management simply means finding the right medication and the right dose to work alongside your other therapy sessions.

Inpatient vs Evening Intensive Outpatient Treatment

Inpatient and outpatient treatment programs are two sides of the same coin. The actual therapy sessions you attend (individual counseling, group sessions, and holistic mental health care) are very similar during inpatient and outpatient treatment.

The difference is where you get the treatment.

Inpatient treatment occurs within an inpatient facility. This means you live at the facility and are monitored 24/7 during your initial treatment phase. This option is typically used for addiction treatment. The structured environment can help you overcome extreme withdrawal symptoms. Inpatient is also a partial hospitalization program, as they contain medical experts on hand specifically to care for you through the physical withdrawal period, which could be fatal otherwise.

After this intensive care period, you will be released. The goal, then, however, is to maintain sobriety. You will then attend treatment at an outpatient facility. Intensive outpatient treatment is essential for relapse prevention.

Intensive outpatient programs, however, are not just for those who need addiction treatment. We can help those who need ongoing support for any mental health concern.

Mental Health Disorders We Treat at Back Bay Mental Health

If you are suffering from a mental health condition and would benefit from regular care, then our evening intensive outpatient program (IOP*) is for you. We can help those who need addiction treatment for their substance abuse all the way to those who need support after a big change in their life.

Here are just a few of the mental health conditions we can help with:

  • Substance Use Disorder
  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD and Trauma
  • OCD
  • Personality Disorders
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Mood Disorders
  • and More

Do You Qualify for an Intensive Outpatient Program*?

If you struggle with mental health disorders or a substance use disorder, then we can help. Intensive outpatient treatment is ideal for those who are struggling and would benefit from regular sessions but who do not need 24-hour care.

You can start with an intensive outpatient program and keep with it while you learn coping skills to deal with your ADHD, for example. On the flip side, you can also “graduate” to intensive outpatient programs after an inpatient treatment. You might get inpatient care for drug or alcohol addiction, as this also helps you medically through withdrawal symptoms. Once you’ve recovered from the initial phase of drug addiction (the withdrawals), then moving back home is the next step.

Addiction treatment doesn’t stop there, however. After you move back home or with family, you’ll need to continue to attend to both individual and group sessions. You’ll do that with an intensive outpatient program like ours.

In short, if you would benefit from regular individual therapy sessions, group therapy, and holistic counseling, then an intensive outpatient program could be right for you. If you live, work, or go to school in Boston, then get in touch with our team to learn more and book in your first appointment.
